POLK COUNTY, Wis. – Trapper Simons, of Amery, WI man has been charged in Polk County Circuit Court with Capturing Intimate Representations, a Class I Felony.
According to a Polk County Sheriff's Office probable cause report, Polk County Sheriff's Office was dispatched on May 17, 2017, regarding a report of a male video recording a female without her consent.
The probable cause report states that officers met with two females. One of the female victims lives in the same residence as Simons. The two females stated that they had found a video camera located in a hole in the wall of the bedroom adjacent to the bedroom of Simons. The two victims stated to officers that they both went into Simon's bedroom and ultimately found a camera concealed in the wall, covered by a pair of sweatpants. They went into Simon's room again later and found a laptop which contained pornographic videos along with videos of one of the victims getting ready for a shower and drying off after a shower.
Officers obtained a search warrant for cell phones, computer, cameras, or other devices found in Simon's room that could retain pictures or video. The report goes on to state that when questioned by officers, Simons admitted that he used a camera to video record the victims while they were nude. Simons also stated that the video camera was connected to a live feed on his phone.Neither female knew Simons was recording them.
Simons was placed under arrest and transported to the Polk County Jail.
Public record shows that criminal charges were filed in Polk County Circuit Court against Simons on May 18, 2017 for Class I Felony Capturing of an Intimate Representation. Simons appeared in Polk County Circuit Court on May 18, 2017, and is scheduled to appear in court again on May 30, 2017.
