BARRON COUNTY -- The Court has ordered a $10,000 signature bond for Michael A. Dixon, age 30, who is charged with multiple sex crimes against children under the age of 13.

A criminal complaint filed in Barron County Circuit Court states that in December 2021 the Turtle Lake Police Department received information alleging that 30-year-old Michael A. Dixon had exposed his genitals to a child under the age of 13.

The Turtle Lake Police Department initiated an investigation into the allegations. While the investigation was ongoing, the Department received additional information in January 2022 alleging that Dixon had sexually assaulted a second child under the age of 13.

During the course of the investigations into the allegations against Dixon, forensic interviews were conducted with the two children and the information received during those interviews corroborated the information previously provided to the Police Department.

Dixon is charged with Class B Felony 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault - Sexual Contact With a Child Under Age 13; Class B Felony Attempt 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault - Sexual Contact With a Child Under Age 13; Class B Felony Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child; and 3 counts of Class I Felony Exposing Genitals.

According to the complaint, in numerous incidents from May 2021 through December 2021 Dixon had contact with a child under the age of 13.

Dixon allegedly attempted to sexually assault the child, exposed his genitals to the child, masturbated in front of the child and told the child to watch him, and told the child that he would choke the child if they told anyone.

The criminal complaint filed against Dixon states that in multiple incidents between October 2020 through November 2021, Dixon had contact with another child under the age of 13.

Dixon allegedly sexually assaulted the child, exposed his genitals to the child, masturbated in front of the child, showed pornography to the child, offered the child money in exchange for sexual acts, and told the child that Dixon would be mad if the child told anyone.

When Officers interviewed Dixon, he allegedly admitted that the children had seen him masturbating and that Officers would find pornography on his phone.

Online circuit court records show that Dixon appeared while in the custody of the Barron County jail for a hearing on February 23, 2022 in Barron County Circuit Court regarding the charges filed against him.

At the time of this post, online records do not list what the District Attorney requested for a bail bond for Dixon.

The Hon. Maureen Boyle ordered a $10,000 signature bond with conditions prohibiting Dixon from having contact with numerous people including the two child victims. Dixon is scheduled to appear in court again in March 2022.
