Man In Custody For Attempted Reckless Homicide In Burnett County

BURNETT COUNTY — A man is in custody for Attempted Reckless Homicide after an incident in Burnett County on Friday, May 15, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday, May 15, 2020 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Burnett County Communications received a call of two men fighting at 24933 Eagle Feather Dr., in the Town of Sand Lake. Upon arrival, deputies found Bryan Corbine unconscious and severely injured in the garage of the residence. St. Croix Hertel First Responders and North Ambulance provided emergency medical services.

Due to the extent of his injuries, the victim was air lifted to North Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The victim’s brother, Maurice Corbine, was taken into custody for attempted reckless homicide and remains confined in the Burnett County Jail pending an initial appearance.

The victim was last reported in stable condition.    

This case remains under investigation.
