RUSK COUNTY - A report of an ATV crash on Monday night has resulted in the death of Jay Holcomb from Bruce, WI, according to a press release from the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday, August 29, 2022, at approximately 8:45p, it was reported to the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office of an ATV crash with unknown injuries near Sentinal Ash Rd and CTH H in the Town of Atlanta, County of Rusk.
The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Bruce Fire Department, and Rusk County EMS responded to the scene where the solo occupant, Jay Holcomb from Bruce, WI, was found pinned under his ATV in the south ditch.
Holcomb was transported to the Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash is still under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office, and the Rusk County Medical Examiner’s Office.
