GORDON, Wis. -- Authorities told DrydenWire.com via email this morning that the Gordon Correctional Center had received phone threats regarding the camp which ultimately prompted the response by authorities to investigate the situation DrydenWire first reported on Monday, May 29, 2017.
No more information was made available to us as authorities said that this is still an active investigation.

Sources: Authorities Searching For Man Near Gordon Correctional Center

GORDON, Wis. -- A person with a weapon was on the grounds of the Gordon Correctional Center (GCC) in Gordon, Wisconsin earlier today and law enforcement are actively searching the area near the GCC, according to DrydenWire sources.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Department has their SWAT team and SWAT vehicle on the scene to search the grounds for the alleged armed suspect.
One of our sources was at the scene a short time ago and said that law enforcement requested that they vacate the area immediately. But before doing so asked if they had seen anyone suspicious in the woods surrounding the GCC.
The GCC and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections would not comment on the situation and multiple calls to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department have gone unanswered so far.
