SPOONER, WI — Political strategist and communications veteran Mark Bednar joined Ben Dryden for a live conversation on DrydenWire Live on Thursday, June 18, 2026, on DrydenWire’s Facebook page.
Bednar has spent more than a decade in Republican and conservative political communications. He served as Head of Communications for the 55th Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, where he led message development, media strategy, and press operations for the Office of the Speaker.
Previously, Bednar served as Communications Director for former Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy and held senior roles on multiple political campaigns. He also served on the Trump–Vance Transition Team as a “sherpa” guiding Lee Zeldin’s Senate confirmation process.
During the conversation, Bednar — who joined the show from his office in Washington D.C. — shared his perspectives on Wisconsin politics, including the race for Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District and the 2026 gubernatorial election. Drawing on his experience in political communications and campaign strategy, he discussed the candidates, key issues, and factors that could influence voters in the months ahead.
