Menomonie Police Investigator Named WAWP Officer of the Year

MENOMONIE -- On behalf of the Menomonie Police Department I would like to congratulate Investigator Kelly Pollock for being named the Wisconsin Association of Women Police (WAWP) Officer of the Year for 2017.

This award is given to women in law enforcement that exceed the duty requirements expected of their position and have demonstrated a distinct pattern of community service coupled with professional achievement.

Investigator Pollock is both an excellent criminal investigator and a community role model. She has performed with honor and distinction in serious criminal cases surrounding violence, sexual assault and financial fraud.

Not only is she an excellent criminal investigator she also serves as a role model for the community. Investigator Pollock frequently donates her time to raise money for various charities. Additionally, she has helped develop MPD programs that focus on helping children such as Cops 4 Kids.

Lastly, Investigator Pollock has been essential in the efforts to promote sexual assault and domestic violence investigation best practices in law enforcement. She travels with the Wisconsin Department of Justice teaching law enforcement modern investigative techniques that protect the victims while holding offenders accountable.

Please join me in congratulating Investigator Pollock on this well-deserved award. She is truly a role model for all of law enforcement.
