Methamphetamine, Narcotics Seized During Barron County Traffic Stop

BARRON COUNTY — Authorities say a traffic stop in Rice Lake resulted in two arrests, drug-related charges, and the seizure of suspected narcotics and cash, according to the Rice Lake Police Department.

On June 20th 2026 at around 9:30 PM, Sgt. Belich stopped a vehicle within the City. Officer Prinsen and K9 Kash responded to assist.

K9 Kash alerted to the odor of narcotics within the vehicle. Through this investigation, around 11 grams of methamphetamine, narcotics, and over $500 were seized on a passenger.

The passenger was arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and schedule 1 and 2 narcotics.

The driver was subsequently arrested for OWI 7th offense, possession of THC and drug paraphernalia.

All charges have been referred to the Barron County District Attorneys Office and all subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
