SPOONER, Wis. -- A new Mexican restaurant will be opening soon in Spooner, Wisconsin.
El Tequila, which already has one location in Hayward, Wisconsin, will be opening their Spooner restaurant in the former Pillars/Poor Boys building after they recently announced that they were closing their doors at that location.
Carlos Escobedo, owner of the Hayward El Tequila and the soon-to-be-opened Spooner location, told DrydenWire.com today that he anticipates opening no later than October 15th of this year.
The Pub/Restaurant will specialize in Mexican food, however, Escobedo said the menu will not feature all of the items currently offered at the Hayward location.
Escobedo said that "takeout will be available," and that delivery is "being considered."

During our phone conversation, Escobedo said that he can't wait to open in Spooner.
"We want people to come and try us out," Escobedo stated enthusiastically. "I know that people are going to like us and we can't wait to be a part of the community."
