Hillary Clinton Calls House Oversight Questioning 'Repetitive' In 6 Hour Deposition

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spent more than six hours in a closed-door deposition Thursday, facing questions from the House Oversight Committee. The Republican-led committee subpoenaed Clinton, and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, to appear in its investigation into convicted sex offender and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The former president will take questions Friday from the committee.

In a short press conference following the deposition, Hillary Clinton said she wished the proceedings had been public and that she and her attorneys have asked for transcripts and videos to be available as soon as possible.

The Big New Controversy Over The Epstein Files, Explained

When the Department of Justice released more than 3 million pages of documents relating to the convicted sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein on Jan. 30, the sheer volume of the material was dizzying.

It always seemed plausible that important elements of the release would take time to emerge as reporters and researchers dug into the massive trawl.

This is exactly what has happened. Major news outlets this week picked up on reporting, which first came from an independent journalist, about potentially vital documents that appear not to have been made publicly available.

It’s a complicated story. Here’s what you need to know.

Paramount agreed to pay the $2.8 billion breakup fee that WBD would owe Netflix if that deal didn’t go through.

Netflix stock spiked in extended trading, while shares of Warner Bros. Discovery fell.

Men In Their 50s May Be Aging Faster Than Women Due To Toxic "Forever Chemicals"

The "forever chemicals" known as PFAS appear to be aging men faster in their 50s and early 60s, a new study found.

Called forever chemicals due to the years it takes for them to break down, perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances are present in the blood of an estimated 98% of Americans, according to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

Epigenetic aging — a measurement of one's biological age instead of chronological age — was most advanced in men, according to the study.

Gun Ban For Marijuana Users Gets High Court Review

As the top county law enforcement official for more than a decade, former district attorney Rob Greene regularly prosecuted crimes involving drugs even as he often consumed cannabis on the side.

The Army veteran, avid hunter, and father of 3 is one of 440,000 Pennsylvanians with a state-authorized medical marijuana card under a program lawmakers enacted in 2016.

Greene, who stepped down as DA earlier this year, says the cannabis he uses “once or twice every week or two” has significantly improved his quality of life but also came with what he calls an unconstitutional trade-off.

JD Vance Stumps For Derrick Van Orden, Tom Tiffany In Wisconsin Campaign Event

Vice President JD Vance was in Plover Thursday, campaigning for Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden in an effort to hang on to the GOP’s slim majority in the U.S. House.

Vance’s visit came just days after President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, and he touted the president’s tax cuts, saying they wouldn’t have happened without Republicans like Van Orden, a top target of Democrats hoping to flip the House.

Vance joined Van Orden, U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, the Republican candidate for governor in Wisconsin, state GOP Chair Brian Schimming and around 300 supporters at Pointe Precision, a manufacturer of aerospace, medical and industrial components located near the eastern edge of Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District.

After Years Of Legal Disputes, Enbridge Starts Line 5 Reroute Around Bad River Reservation

Energy company Enbridge has finally started work on rerouting an aging oil pipeline around a tribal reservation in northern Wisconsin after seven years of legal wrangling, moving ahead despite two new lawsuits that still could delay the project indefinitely.

About 12 miles of Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline runs across the Bad River Band of Lake Superior’s reservation along the shores of Lake Superior. The tribe sued Enbridge in 2019 to force the company to remove the section from its land, arguing land easements allowing operation expired six years earlier and the 73-year-old pipeline was prone to a catastrophic spill.

Wisconsin Hospital Association Report Finds Health Care Workforce Is Growing, But Not Fast Enough

A new report from the Wisconsin Hospital Association shows Wisconsin's health care workforce is growing, but not fast enough to meet rising demand.
