Genetic testing firm 23andMe said on Sunday it filed for filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. to help the $50 million company sell itself and that co-founder and CEO Anne Wojcicki had resigned after multiple failed takeover bids.
23andMe, whose saliva-based test kits help customers learn about their ancestry, had cut about 40%, or 200 employees, of its workforce and stopped development of all its therapies as part of a restructuring program announced in November.

It was more of a "ho-hum" than a "heigh-ho" at the box office this weekend, as Walt Disney Co.'s latest live-action remake "Snow White" arrived in theaters.
The movie, which stars Rachel Zegler as the titular princess and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, opened in the U.S. and Canada to a lackluster $43 million in ticket sales, landing it in first place at the domestic box office, according to studio estimates. Prior to its release, "Snow White" was expected to haul in $45 million to $55 million in its opening weekend, according to analyst and pre-sale ticket estimates.

Musk Pac Offers $100 To Wisconsin Voters Who Sign Petition Against 'Activist Judges'
Elon Musk’s political action committee is offering Wisconsin voters $100 who sign a petition opposing "activist judges" ahead of the April 1 Wisconsin Supreme Court election, echoing the billionaire’s controversial cash giveaways during President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign.
The petition, promoted online and at in-person events by Musk’s America PAC, asks voters in the state to reject "activist judges who impose their own views." Wisconsin voters who sign up are eligible to receive the $100, according to the PAC.

At a raucous town hall in Wisconsin, angry constituents shouted down an incumbent from the state’s congressional delegation as he defended changes to the federal government driven by the newly elected president.
It was 2009, and then-U.S. Rep. Steve Kagan, a Democrat from Appleton, was facing growing opposition in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District over a massive overhaul of the nation’s health care system initiated by President Barack Obama.
Scenes like these were happening across the nation that year and the next, but Democrats downplayed suggestions that the public had turned on them. Some said the outbursts were staged by billionaire donors.

President Donald Trump on Friday called on his supporters to vote for a candidate for the Wisconsin Supreme Court who already had the full-throated backing of Trump’s billionaire adviser Elon Musk.
“All Voters who believe in Common Sense should GET OUT TO VOTE EARLY for Brad Schimel,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
Trump’s post comes a little over a week before the April 1 election that will determine control of the court, which since 2023 has a majority of liberal justices. Who controls the court will impact a wide range of pending high profile issues, like abortion rights and congressional district boundaries, but it could also determine what the voting rules are for the 2026 midterms and 2028 presidential election in the battleground state.

Kirsten Simms scored the sudden victory goal to win the National Championship. Simms sent the game to overtime with a penalty with 18.9 seconds left in the game to level the score at 3-3. Head coach Mark Johnson was seen calmly asking his team during a goal review who wanted the penalty shot and Simms immediately raised her hand.
