Trump Says U.S. Will Destroy Iran’s Oil Wells, Kharg Island Without Deal To ‘Immediately’ Reopen Hormuz Strait

U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that the U.S. will “completely” obliterate Iran’s electric generating plants, oil wells and Kharg Island if the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz is not “immediately” reopened and a peace deal is not reached “shortly.”

“The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

Thieves Steal Paintings By Renoir, Cézanne And Matisse From Italian Museum

Thieves made off with three paintings by Renoir, Cézanne and Matisse worth millions of euros (dollars) from a museum near the city of Parma in northern Italy, police said on Monday.

The heist took place on the night of March 22-23, with thieves forcing open the entrance door, police said.

The three stolen paintings are “Fish” by Auguste Renoir, “Still Life with Cherries” by Paul Cézanne, and “Odalisque on the Terrace” by Henri Matisse.

The Magnani Rocca Foundation, a private museum, lies in the heart of the countryside 12 miles from Parma.

NFL, Far Apart With NFLRA, To Begin Hiring Replacement Refs

NFL owners are "alarmed" by the state of negotiations with the NFL Referees Association and have authorized staff members to begin hiring and onboarding replacement officials in the coming weeks, league sources said Sunday at the start of the league meetings.

The NFL began compiling a list of college-level officials to recruit earlier this month, and owners are expected this week to approve a sweeping set of replay enhancements to support replacement officials in preseason and regular-season games.

Constitutional Rights, Finances At Stake In Reimbursement Deals Tied To Enbridge’s Line 5

Enbridge would reimburse local law enforcement for services tied to its controversial Line 5 reroute in northern Wisconsin under agreements being taken up by the Bayfield County board Tuesday.

Enbridge approached the Wisconsin Counties Association, or WCA, about paying several northern Wisconsin counties for public safety services through a WCA-managed account as the project is anticipated to draw protests. The move comes as work is underway on Enbridge’s $450 million plan to reroute the oil and gas pipeline around the Bad River tribe’s reservation.

Evers Signs Antisemitism Definition, Vetoes Bills On Foreign Influence

Gov. Tony Evers today signed a new definition of antisemitism into state law critics allege could be used to silence criticism of Israel.

The law means Wisconsin will use the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition of antisemitism. 

Proponents of what is now Wisconsin Act 143 say the bill would provide clear guidance amid rising levels of antisemitism in Wisconsin and the United States.

Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Chris Taylor is preparing to launch a statewide tour as she makes her final push ahead of the April 7 election.
