Iran Says No New Commitments On Nuclear Sites After Vance Says Inspectors To Be Invited Back

Iran has denied a claim by Vice-President JD Vance that it will allow nuclear inspectors back into the country, after the first round of talks between Washington and Tehran to reach a final deal to end the war.

Following negotiations in Switzerland, Vance said discussions with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) could be happening "as soon as today".

But Iran's foreign ministry told state media that Tehran had made "no new commitments" on nuclear inspections.

Nancy Guthrie Ransom Note, Believed To Be From Abductor, Said She Died, Sources Say

Authorities believe two ransom notes addressed to Nancy Guthrie's family days after her disappearance — including a note that said she had died — were likely sent by the person or group of people who abducted her, according to investigators familiar with the case.

Investigators believe the same person or people sent both notes and that both were likely sent from the same computer IP address.

Trump Signs Executive Orders To 'Supercharge' Quantum Computing

President Donald Trump on Monday signed a pair of executive orders designed to protect domestic quantum computing and accelerate its development of the technology.

“The first executive order launches a national effort to produce a quantum computer capable of performing important scientific calculations and to develop quantum-enabled sensors and networks in the next five years,” Trump said.

“The second order I'm signing directs federal agencies to transition to what is called quantum cryptography,” he added.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Traded To The Miami Heat

ESPN is reporting that Giannis Antetokounmpo, the two-time NBA MVP, has been traded from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Miami Heat in a blockbuster deal that brings an end to an unforgettable era in Milwaukee.

According to ESPN, the trade also included Bobby Portis with the Bucks picking up Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, 3 first-round picks (including No. 13), 1 pick swap and 1 second-rounder.

Missy Hughes Says More Dems Should Drop Out Of Guv Primary As She Backs Sara Rodriguez

Missy Hughes said today it’s time for Democratic candidates to coalesce around a gubernatorial nominee to beat Tom Tiffany in November.

The former WEDC secretary and CEO said at an afternoon press conference with Lt. Gov Sara Rodriguez that it was “100%” time for other candidates to follow Hughes’ lead and consider dropping out.

Hughes announced earlier today she was suspending her campaign and endorsing Rodriguez.

Eau Claire Company Must Pay $325K Over Alleged Air And Hazardous Waste Violations

The Wisconsin Department of Justice announced Monday it has reached two settlements with a waste management company in Eau Claire over alleged air and hazardous waste violations.

WRR Environmental Services Co. Inc. must pay a total of $325,000 in fines and other fees under deals signed last week in Eau Claire County Circuit Court, according to a DOJ news release.

The company is accused of violating the state’s air pollution control and hazardous waste management laws. The waste management firm owns and operates a hazardous waste storage and processing facility in Eau Claire.

What Is Wisconsin Sending To America’s Time Capsule?

A feather from Wisconsin’s war eagle Old Abe and letters from Gov. Tony Evers and other elected officials will be sealed away for the next 250 years.

Those items are among Wisconsin’s contributions to America’s Time Capsule as part of the celebration for the Country’s 250th anniversary. The time capsule will be buried in Philadelphia on July 4.

Madison Man Sentenced To More Than 5 Years For Drug Trafficking And Illegally Possessing Firearm

Steve E. Adams, 43, Madison, Wisconsin, was sentenced last week by Chief U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson to 62 months in federal prison for distributing heroin and fentanyl and illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Adams pleaded guilty to these charges on March 20, 2026.

Between May 6, 2025, and June 18, 2025, Adams sold a mixture of heroin and fentanyl multiple times on the east side of Madison. In late June, officers searched Adams’ house and found more drugs, a hydraulic press, and a loaded Ruger-57, 5.7x28 caliber pistol. Adams is prohibited from legally possessing firearms or ammunition because of a prior felony conviction.
