At 7:05 PM on Saturday, June 10, 2017, a crash occurred on WIS 13 SB at Superior Avenue in BAYFIELD County near BAYFIELD.

At approximately 7:05 PM a Volkswagen Jetta was traveling northbound on WIS 13. The Jetta attempted to make a left hand turn onto Superior Avenue in Cornucopia when the Jetta struck a motorcycle that was traveling southbound on WIS 13. The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries from this crash. The driver of the Jetta was treated and released by EMS at the scene. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department.
