BARRON COUNTY — On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, a tragic accident occurred on Hwy 63 at 16th Ave, north of Turtle Lake, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist, according to a press release from the Barron County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 6:52 p.m., the Barron County 911 center received a call of a motorcycle vs car accident on Hwy 63 at 16th Ave, north of Turtle Lake.
Deputies from the Barron County Sheriff’s Department along with the Cumberland Ambulance, Turtle Lake Fire Department, Barron County First Responders, Turtle Lake Police Department and the Life Link Helicopter all responded to the scene.
Initial investigation shows a motorcycle driven by a 63 year old male from Comstock failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a car driven by a 26 year old male from Comstock. A 22 year old female from Barron was also a passenger in the car.
The motorcycle driver was flown to an area hospital in serious condition and once at the hospital passed away from his injuries. Neither the driver nor passenger in the car were injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Barron County Sheriff’s Department
