WASHBURN COUNTY — A Springbrook, WI, woman has been sentenced in Washburn County Circuit Court on multiple felony drug charges from separate drug investigations in Washburn County that uncovered methamphetamine, THC, drug paraphernalia, and other controlled substances.
The charges against Billie Jo Knutson (45) stemmed from drug investigations in 2024 and 2025, including a search of a Crystal Township residence where investigators found nearly 7 grams of methamphetamine in Knutson’s backpack, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and a later traffic stop where officers found multiple drug-related items inside a vehicle she was driving.
The law enforcement investigations also led to criminal charges against Marie Kruger, Michael Johnson, and William Hansen, with those cases continuing in Washburn County Circuit Court.
