Northlakes Brings Pediatric Occupational Therapy Back To Hayward Clinic

HAYWARD, WI – NorthLakes Community Clinic is pleased to announce the return of pediatric occupational therapy services to its Hayward location, with the addition of Sarah Wahlquist, OTR/L, to the healthcare team.

Wahlquist brings specialized expertise in pediatric occupational therapy, holding a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. Her professional interests span all areas of pediatrics, including sensory integration, autism, ADHD/ADD, mental health and motor functioning.

"I hope patients will come ready to play and explore," said Wahlquist. "I want to make therapy an engaging and comfortable experience for every child." Her philosophy emphasizes client-centered, goal-driven care where therapy becomes a collaborative experience between therapist, child, and family.

Pediatric occupational therapy helps children gain independence and develop essential skills needed for daily functioning and socialization. Services address a wide range of challenges including sleep issues, balance skills, sensory processing challenges, oral motor deficits, learning disabilities, visual perception, motor coordination, attention challenges. and helps picky eaters overcome oral aversion.
