Northwest Passage: Special Guest to Share the Value of Water

Northwest Passage: Special Guest to Share the Value of Water

We are excited to welcome a special guest, Andrew Fusek Peters, all the way from England, to northwestern Wisconsin to work with our kids for three days.

Andrew Fusek Peters is an English author and photographer who has devoted his professional career to capturing and celebrating the power of water to soothe our souls. After encountering a bout of severe depression he turned to numerous forms of treatment and it wasn’t until he returned to his love of swimming in the wild waters of Shropshire, England that he found himself again.

Andrew’s story is one we here at Passage know all too well… nature holds a special key to our wellbeing.

We'd love for you to have an opportunity to meet this extraordinary man, so after Andrew spends time working with our kids, his visit will culminate in a public artist reception and book signing on Monday, April 3rd from 5:30 to 7 PM

He will be sharing photographs and stories from his rural home in England and drawing connections from there to here. He’ll discuss his latest book, DIP, which chronicles the hidden powers of wild waters and their impact on the human spirit.

The gallery’s latest exhibit, Under the Surface, is the perfect backdrop for his talk. Currently on display are the gorgeous waters of Lake Superior and all around northwestern Wisconsin to the clear Caribbean waters of Dry Tortugas National Park.
