Northwest Wisconsin's Fall Splendor Art Meander

Northwest Wisconsin's Fall Splendor Art Meander

The Fall Splendor Art Meander is a three day, self-guided tour of nineteen galleries and studios in eleven towns and villages in Northwest Wisconsin during the peak of the fall color change. The Meander celebrates the living and creating spaces of local artists and features the work of some of the area’s best painters, potters, sculptors, crafters, upcycle artisans, tattoo artists, writers and musicians.

The Art Meander starts Friday, September 29th, 10:00 to 6:00, Saturday, September 30th, 10:00 to 5:00 and Sunday, October 1st, 11:00 to 3:00, including the cities and villages of Spooner, Shell Lake, Sarona, Cumberland, Rice Lake, Cameron, Chetek, Turtle Lake and Dallas along and just off US Highways 63 and 53. Maps and brochures are available at participating venues and sponsors or at www.fallsplendorartmeander.com.

This event is in its 8th year. Many artists will give live demonstrations, light food and beverage. The Fall Splendor Art Meander gives visibility to some of the region’s most experienced artists and introduces many emerging creatives to tourists and residents alike.

“There are no art snobs here,” comments Esa Everroad, artist and Purple Pelican Gallery owner, “and you’ll see everything from modern to traditional art, abstract to representational art, wearable art, body art, pottery, glass, jewelry, furniture, salvage art, upcycled art, craft and more. The art and craft industry enriches our homes, bodies, wardrobes, offices and public spaces. It contributes to the nation’s economy, its balance of trade, and the fabric of our national history. It is original, beautiful and enduring.”
