SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A Hayward man with seven prior convictions for operating while intoxicated is facing new felony OWI charges after police say he was found stumbling and attempting to get into a vehicle at a Hayward, WI, Kwik Trip in the early morning hours of July 29, 2025.
According to a criminal complaint, 59-year-old Shannon Pecha appeared heavily intoxicated when contacted by a Hayward Police Officer. He was arrested, and charges of OWI-8th Offense were later filed. At a recent court hearing, the Court found probable cause, and the case is moving forward.
