Pedestrian Struck On State Hwy 35 In Burnett County

BURNETT COUNTY — A pedestrian was critically injured and airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital after being struck by a vehicle early January 3, 2025, on State Hwy. 35 in Burnett County, with the driver arrested for first-offense OWI causing injury, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office.

On January 3, 2025 at 12:05 a.m. Burnett County Dispatch received a call of a vehicle striking a pedestrian on State Hwy. 35 at the intersection of County Rd. FF. Upon arrival, law enforcement observed a male lying in the roadway with apparent severe injuries.

The pedestrian was transported from the scene by ambulance and subsequently flown to a Twin Cities hospital for medical treatment. His identity will not be released at this time.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian, Timothy White, 53 years old, of Webster, WI, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. White was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated 1st offense Causing Injury and was booked into the Burnett County Jail.

This case is still under investigation and no further information will be provided at this time.
