SHELL LAKE, WI — The 6th annual pig roast fundraiser benefiting the City of Shell Lake Chamber’s 3rd of July fireworks and street dance celebration is set for Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Matt’s Ice Cream Stand in Shell Lake.
The fundraiser will take place at 457 U.S. Highway 63, located on the corner of County Road B (6th Avenue/CTY B) and Highway 63, directly across from the Shell Lake public beach.
As in previous years, the event will operate on a free-will donation basis, with a suggested donation of $10 per plate.
The menu includes:
- Pulled pork roasted over the grill
- Buns
- Coleslaw
- Baked beans
- BBQ sauce
- Lemonade
- An ice cream cone or shave ice from Matt’s Ice Cream Stand


Organizers say the annual 3rd of July events are donation-supported. Those unable to attend the fundraiser but who still wish to contribute toward the fireworks and street dance may mail donations payable to “Shell Lake Chamber” with “3rd of July” written in the memo line.
