POLK COUNTY — A 47-year-old Minnesota man wanted for aggravated robbery was arrested in St. Croix Falls following a pursuit Monday night, according to a press release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday, October 27th, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a wanted suspect out of Minnesota for aggravated robbery, who was in the St Croix Falls area.
Deputies conducted surveillance and at 9:05 PM observed this suspect driving his 2007 Toyota FJ cruiser on Highway 35 going onto Highway 8 in the City of St Croix Falls.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop along Highway 8; the suspect attempted to flee. A Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) was utilized and caused the vehicle to enter the ditch. The suspect was armed with a handgun and would not comply with orders to exit the vehicle.
Polk County K9 “Bane” was deployed to apprehend the suspect.

The K9 apprehension was successful, and the suspect was taken into custody.
A loaded handgun was recovered from the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspect was given medical treatment for minor injuries from the K9 apprehension and then taken to the Polk County Jail. He will have local charges from the Fleeing an Officer, Resisting Arrest and a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
