BARRON COUNTY - A power parachute collided with a power line in Chetek, prompting emergency response, according to a press release from the Chetek Police Department.

On July 1, 2023 at 8:00pm the Chetek Police Department took a call of a power parachute that had collided with a power line.
This incident occurred at the intersection of Lakeview Drive and City Park Drive. Chetek ambulance and Chetek Fire were called to scene. The passenger was checked by EMS and released; the pilot was flown out from the scene due to the injuries he had sustained. No other information on the pilots’ condition is known currently.
The FAA has been contacted and will be handling the investigation on this incident.
