SPOONER -- Rallying to FIX ACA, NOT repeal. Twenty people gathered at Spooner's Centennial Park to call on Republicans to work with Democrats and fix the Affordable Care Act. These people represented Indivisible groups from Spooner, Barron, Polk/Burnett, Texas, and Madison. Spooner's Northwoods Huddle was also represented.

SPOONER -- An event in Spooner is planned for Tuesday, July 18, 2017, from 12 PM to 1 PM, as part of Indivisible's nation-wide #KillTheBill Day, according to event coordinators on Facebook.

The Indivisible link in the event states:

Part of Indivisible's nation-wide #KillTheBill Day of Action to stop TrumpCare. Join us at Centennial Park in downtown Spooner. Bring signs about how healthcare impacts you! Healthcare is a Right. We need to make quality healthcare accessible to EVERYBODY, and the TrumpCare plan takes us in the WRONG direction... junk coverage that will take us back to the days of medical bankrupcies, discrimination against people with pre-existing conditions, and gutting of Medicaid and other programs that so many people count on.
