Spooner Memorial Library and Lakeland Family Resource Center have partnered to present a new library program. Sensory Friendly Story Time is specially created for kids and teens with special needs. Special accommodations will include a smaller group size, sensory friendly setting, a quiet area, fidgets, interactive approach with visuals and physical movement, specially selected books and themes and an understanding environment.
Sessions will be held the first Tuesday of each month starting December 6, 2016 at Spooner Memorial Library, 421 High Street, Spooner. Each story time will begin at 10:00 A.M. and will run till 10:30. 10:30 – 10:45 will be an informal time for parents to socialize, share, and meet area resource professionals while the children play.
