Sawyer County Sheriff Mark Kelsey announces the placement of James R. Hunt, a convicted sex offender who has been identified as a person that may represent a risk to reoffend. Hunt will be residing at 10029N Felser Road in the Township of Hayward, Sawyer County.
The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the following information pursuant to Sec. 301/46(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of the release of a convicted sex offender when the release of such information will enhance public safety and protection:
On 05/18/2011 James R. Hunt was convicted of a felony in Jefferson County in violation of Wisconsin Statute 948.055- Causing a Child to View or Listen to Sexual Activity.
Hunt remains under supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He is currently compliant with registration requirements of the Sex Offender Registry Program. Hunt cannot have contact with any child except incidental public contact with children. Hunt cannot possess or consume alcohol, possess or consume illegal drugs or possess drug paraphernalia. Hunt cannot be in bars, taverns or liquor stores except as required for employment purposes and authorized by a Probation Agent. Hunt is subject to random urinalysis. Hunt cannot possess pornographic materials. Hunt cannot have access to the internet unless authorized by a Probation Agent. In addition, there are numerous other rules and restrictions compiled by the Department of Corrections, which Hunt is required to follow.
