MADISON, WI -- Representative Chanz Green (R-Grand View) issued the following statement reflecting on his first year in office:
“I was elected to make sure that Northern Wisconsin is not forgotten in the political process down here in Madison. From legislative victories to budget victories to engaging with my constituents, I want to make sure their voices are heard. Since my time in office so far, I have introduced 21 bills, had 3 bills signed into law, had 8 listening sessions, assisted 840 constituents, and sent out 1,190 letters to constituents.
“With time still left in session, I am confident that I will get more legislation across the finish line that will benefit Northern Wisconsin. Moreover, I plan to host three more listening sessions in the counties of Ashland, Iron, and Price after the holidays. With all that being said, being a freshman legislator has its ups and downs, but it also has its perks, and those include making sure that the people in the 74th Assembly District are represented by someone who shares their priorities.
“It has been an honor so far to serve as your state representative, and I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
