Rep. Chanz Green Votes For Consumer Freedom

Madison, WI – Representative Chanz Green (R-Grand View) issued the following statement after voting in favor of Senate Bill 184, which would prohibit state and local governments in Wisconsin from banning the sale or use of products based on their energy source:

“Wisconsin residents should have the freedom to choose what best fits their needs when it comes to everyday appliances, vehicles, and other devices. The bill ensures consumer freedom and economic stability, rather than top-down government mandates from unelected bureaucrats. The government should not control what people can buy.”

SB 184, after already being voted in on the Senate, now heads to the governor’s desk.

Rep. Chanz Green also voted in favor of the following bills:

  • Assembly Bill 39 – Requires state agencies to mandate in-person work for employees.
  • Assembly Bill 58 – Requires only U.S., Wisconsin, and state agency flags to be displayed on government buildings, with specific exceptions; flags representing political or social causes would be prohibited.
  • Assembly Bill 308 - Prohibits federal, state, and local taxpayer-funded health services from being used to benefit undocumented immigrants.
