Rep. Edming Recognized With Working For Wisconsin Award

HAYWARD, WI -- On Tuesday, Representative James Edming (R-Glen Flora) was recognized by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC) with their 2021-22 “Working for Wisconsin” award. The award was presented at Northern Lakes Cooperative in Hayward.

“We are proud to have pro-growth legislative leaders like Rep. Edming who consistently vote to improve our state’s business climate,” said WMC President & CEO Kurt R. Bauer. “His record of support for lower taxes, improving our regulatory and legal climate, and attracting and retaining a talented workforce are critical to Wisconsin’s economic growth.”

WMC is the combined state chamber of commerce and manufacturers’ association. They are recognizing the efforts of certain lawmakers by presenting them with the coveted “Working for Wisconsin” award. The Working for Wisconsin award recognizes legislators who supported specific pro-growth policies and earned a high rating on WMC’s biennial legislative scorecard. It is awarded based on individual voting records, regardless of a legislator’s partisan affiliation. WMC reports that Rep. Edming earned 100% score on this session’s scorecard.

“As the chairman of the Labor and Integrated Employment Committee, it is an honor to be presented with this prestigious award,” said Rep. Edming. “I am proud to have supported legislation and policies that promote a strong economy and business climate in our state. I will continue to work to make Wisconsin a great place to work, live and raise a family.”
