Madison, WI – Representative Chanz Green (R-Grand View) had his bill, Senate Bill 158, which updates county forest grant eligibility to fund half the salary and benefits of county forest administrators who meet new qualifications based on forestry or natural resources education and experience, pass the Assembly earlier today.
“SB 158 expands the applicant pool for county forest administrators by recognizing both relevant education and work experience,” said Rep. Green. “The goal is not to reduce professionalism but to ensure practical experience is valued alongside schooling.”
SB 158, having passed the Senate, now heads to the governor’s desk.
Rep. Green also voted for a package of bills aimed at increasing the housing supply and reducing costs for first-time homebuyers.
