MADISON – This week, as Representative Nick Milroy (D-South Range) is sworn in for his sixth term in the Wisconsin State Assembly, he is pleased to announce that he has been appointed to the following committees for the 2019-2020 legislative session:
- Assembly Committee on Sporting Heritage (Ranking Democrat)
- Assembly Committee on Forestry, Parks, and Outdoor Recreation (Ranking Democrat)
- Assembly Committee on Rural Development Assembly Committee on Veterans and Military Affairs
“I am honored to return to the State Capitol and represent the people of Northwest Wisconsin on vital issues that pass through these committees. There are a number of serious challenges awaiting our state in the near future, and I hope that we can create effective solutions moving forward.
“As a military veteran, I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle on issues to better listen to and support Wisconsin service members and veterans. Likewise, I have served on a number of committees dealing with environmental and outdoor heritage issues in the past, and I have an extensive background working in natural resources management and conservation. Importantly, we need to emphasize our plan of attack on climate change and its severe impact on our state’s economy and ecology.
“Each of these committee appointments gives me the chance to listen to my constituents and bring their voices to the forefront of important discussions,” Milroy finished. “I am optimistic about this upcoming session and excited to get to work!”
