Rep. Quinn: 'Today I Witnessed God's Love First Hand'

Rep. Quinn -- Today while touring the devastation in Chetek with Governor Scott Walker, I got to witness God's love first hand. Foster Friess, a businessman formerly from Rice Lake, walked up to a 26-year young lady who lost her trailer and said he'd send her $10,000. The two strangers broke down and cried together.

We walked a little further and the Governor came across a woman who ran a daycare who lost not only her home, but also her business. Governor Walker was moved by her story, and Mr. Friess promised to send her $15,000 as well. There were no cameras or news anchors around, but I was fortunate to be able to catch the moment on my phone.

It is a sad day for many in our district, but the outpouring of love and support will overcome what has happened. Thank you to our emergency personnel and all those who continue to help our friends and neighbors in need!
