New Richmond, WI – Rep. Rob Stafsholt (R-New Richmond) released the following statement:
“I am disappointed that Governor Evers chose to veto a bipartisan plan to cut middle class taxes and return surplus dollars back to taxpayers. Plain and simple we need to give these dollars back to the people.”
“I was happy to vote in favor of this tax cut package, which reduced middle class income taxes by nearly $250 million, decreased personal property taxes by about $45 million, and paid off general fund supported borrowing by $100 million. That’s real savings and my constituents deserve to have this money back in their pockets.”
“I will continue to fight for the hard-working people of Northwestern Wisconsin to lower their tax burden.”
