POLK COUNTY -- A Grantsburg, WI, man already facing multiple felony charges, including child abuse and operating while intoxicated, is now confronting a new round of serious allegations following a March 9, 2026, arrest in Polk County.

According to the criminal complaint, Timothy Ainley, 61, was taken into custody after deputies responded to reports of a pickup truck speeding, crossing into oncoming traffic, and nearly striking other vehicles, including an ambulance. Ainley refused field sobriety testing, resisted efforts to obtain a court-ordered blood sample, and allegedly threatened to cause harm to a law enforcement officer.

Ainley was already subject to multiple bail bonds in both Polk and Burnett counties, prohibiting the use or possession of alcohol. The Court has now ordered a $50,000 cash bond for Ainley, who is scheduled to appear again on March 27, 2027.
