The Rolling Hills Snowmobile & ATV Club in Washburn County Wisconsin hosted their 45th Annual Land Owner’s Appreciation on August 18th at the Trego Town Park to pay tribute to 105 land owners who graciously allow ATV and Snowmobile trails to join public lands in providing over 250 miles of riding trails in Washburn County.
Barb and Bill Olson Landowner’s with Rick Fetkenher, Club President
The picnic was well attended by over 80 club members and land owners who enjoyed a pig and turkey roast prepared by Dave Larsen, owner of Tracks Restaurant and complimented by salads, beans and coleslaw donated by The Prime Restaurant as well as many desserts from club members.
The Rolling Hills Snowmobile & ATV Club has 170 Active members including over 40 who weekly volunteer to keep the trails in smooth riding condition throughout the county.
Washburn County’s trails attract outdoor enthusiasts from a three state area who regularly visit the greater Spooner area in search of fun and recreation, staying at resorts, cabins and hotels. The financial contribution to the local economy is significant and keeps many businesses strong year long.
