SHELL LAKE, WI — Rowie Hansberger has announced her bid for a second term as mayor, pointing to expanded community events, infrastructure improvements, and a continued commitment to service as key priorities moving forward, according to a press release submitted to DrydenWire from Rowie Hansberger.

Shell Lake Mayor Rowie Hansberger has proudly served the community since 2024, following four years as a City Council Alderperson. Her leadership is grounded in hands-on experience and a deep commitment to the people of Shell Lake.
Hansberger seeks out opportunities to support what makes Shell Lake thrive. Over the years, she has volunteered with numerous local organizations, including the Inland Lake Protection Committee, the Shell Lake Fine Arts Festival, the Shell Lake Lions Triathlon, and Friends of the Library.
A Registered Nurse by profession, Hansberger brings a lifetime of service and compassion to her leadership. Her volunteer efforts include four medical mission trips to Africa, reflecting her dedication helping others.
Shell Lake is a place people are proud to call home. Under Hansberger’s leadership, community events and recreational opportunities have expanded, bringing residents together, welcoming visitors, and supporting local businesses. Signature events such as the 2025 Lions Triathlon, Winterfest, and the Great Shell Lake Get-Together continue to grow and thrive.
Hansberger played a key role in improving public spaces, including City Hall, the Beach House, the Community Center, the Police Station, and Memorial Park. She has also championed investments in city activities, the arts, and family-friendly events. Bringing people together in shared spaces matters, and has worked to ensure Shell Lake remains a vibrant, welcoming community for all.
