RUSK COUNTY — Law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant Tuesday in Willard Township as part of the ongoing investigation into the 2015 disappearance of Tammy Jovaag, according to a press release from the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.

Recently, the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office received information related to the missing person investigation of Tammy Jovaag in 2015 from Chippewa County.
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, a search warrant was executed in the Willard Township of Rusk County. The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office,
Rusk County Sheriff's Office, WI Department of Justice, WI State Patrol, the WI K9 SOS Search and Rescue, Chippewa County Highway Department and the Rusk County Highway Department all assisted in the search.
No evidence or human remains were located during the search. This investigation is ongoing.
The Chippewa County and Rusk County Sheriff's Offices remain committed to working together to bring Tammy home.
