RUSK COUNTY — Criminal charges filed against Michael Jones, Jr. (37) of Ladysmith,WI, in connection with allegations of repeated sexual abuse of a child have been dismissed, according to a recent order in Rusk County Circuit Court.
Prosecutors requested the dismissal, informing the court that new information provided by the defense led the State to conclude it could not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. The dismissal was entered without prejudice, meaning the charges could be refiled if circumstances change.
