RUSK COUNTY (DrydenWire) – On the evening of December 3, 2024, a Rusk County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a welfare check after Dispatch received a report of a woman feeling unsafe due to the actions of an intoxicated man.
The situation escalated when the man, later identified as Todd Meinke, age 56, allegedly pointed a firearm at the Deputy, prompting a tense standoff. Multiple charges including recklessly endangering safety and intentionally pointing a firearm at law enforcement are now filed against Meinke.
