RUSK COUNTY — A man who is already facing felony 6th-offense OWI charges in Washburn County, WI, is now charged with multiple felonies in connection with a domestic violence investigation that prompted a tactical law enforcement response.
According to court records, Karl Blattermann (50) is accused of assaulting a woman, causing bodily harm, and damaging her property. Authorities say the victim fled barefoot to the Rusk County Law Enforcement Center seeking help.
Officers later arrested Karl with assistance from the Barron/Rusk Emergency Response Team after learning there were multiple firearms in the residence. Nearly two dozen firearms were later located, with several of them loaded.
