RUSK COUNTY — Less than two years after being charged with threatening village workers and warning them he would "take you all out," a Bruce, WI, man is facing a new series of felony and misdemeanor charges following a chaotic late-night encounter with law enforcement in May 2026.
Gary Taylor, 63, was taken into custody following a traffic stop in Rusk County that prosecutors say escalated into a prolonged confrontation involving multiple attempts to flee, repeated refusals to comply with commands, and several Taser deployments.
Taylor is now facing a motion to revoke a deferred agreement in his 2024 Rusk County case for felony terrorist threats, in addition to meth and OWI-3rd offense charges he received in Barron County Circuit Court from a 2025 driving incident, along with these recent Rusk County charges that include possession of meth, attempting to flee law enforcement, and operating with a restricted controlled substance in his blood.
