SAWYER COUNTY -- The Court has ordered a lengthy sentence for a man convicted in Sawyer County of repeated child sexual assault.
DrydenWire.com reported previously in November 2018, that Leslie Quaderer was facing charges of Class B Felony Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child and Class F Felony Causing Child under 13 to View/Listen to Sexual Activity after the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Child Welfare Department interviewed a male child under the age of 13 who stated that he had been sexually assaulted by Quaderer.
The child was sexually assaulted by Quaderer on multiple occasions, according to the criminal complaint filed against Quaderer in Sawyer County Circuit Court. The child told investigators that although he told Quaderer “No”, he didn’t feel he could fight him because Quaderer was “50 something”.
At a hearing on January 16, 2020, the Hon. Angeline Winton ordered an 18-year sentence for Quaderer on his conviction of Class B Felony Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child; 8 years of initial confinement in State Prison followed by 10 years of extended supervision. The remaining charge against Quaderer was dismissed but read in at an earlier hearing in September 2019.
Quaderer was ordered to complete any programs deemed appropriate by the Department of Corrections or his Agent. He must also complete Sex Offenders Treatment and will be required to register for life with the Sex Offender Registry. Quaderer is also prohibited from having any contact with anyone under the age of 18 years of age and he must maintain absolute sobriety (no alcohol/drugs without a valid prescription).
