SAWYER COUNTY — A violent incident in Sawyer County that left a woman with a broken nose, visible strangulation injuries, and extensive bruising has resulted in felony charges for Avery M. Jackson (21) of Cloquet, MN.
Sawyer County Sheriff’s Deputies responded shortly after midnight on April 25, 2025, to a residence on Round Lake School Road after receiving a 911 hang-up call and a subsequent report of a physical assault.
Jackson waived his right to a preliminary examination hearing and is set to appear next in June 2026 in Sawyer County Circuit Court.
