(News Release) -- Congratulations to Deputy Nelson and K9 Oscar from the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department for Region 18's Detector Case of the Quarter!
On December 13th, 2017 Deputy Nelson and K9 Oscar were asked to assist on a narcotics search warrant and high risk traffic stop. The traffic stop was initiated and subjects were taken into custody. Deputy Nelson conducted a K9 sniff of the vehicle and K9 Oscar's alert led to a search warrant of the vehicle. 62.7 grams of methamphetamine were located hidden inside the dash of the vehicle behind the radio.
