SAWYER COUNTY — A Sawyer County drug investigation that drew a multi-agency tactical response to a Couderay residence has now resulted in fentanyl and firearm convictions for 46-year-old Gary Tainter Jr., who was charged along with Kayla Decora, age 30, following a September 2025 search warrant that uncovered narcotics, drug packaging materials, and a shotgun. Tainter Jr. was sentenced during a court hearing on April 27, 2026.
