With Child in Vehicle, Hayward Man Arrested for 3rd OWI

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, William Dale Warner, 56 years of age, from Hayward has been arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 3rd offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.

On Thursday, October 4, 2017, at approximately 10:06 a.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol assisted the Hayward Police Department with the arrest of an erratic driver on Glenwood Street. The subject was identified as William Dale Warner, age 56, from Hayward, WI. Warner was arrested for Operating under the influence of an intoxicant, 3rd offense after Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. A child under the age of 16 was also present in the vehicle at the time of the stop. Warner submitted to an evidentiary chemical test of his blood and was subsequently lodged in the Sawyer County Jail pending a bail hearing. Child Protective Services assisted with the child.

"Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty."
