SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) – A dispute in Sawyer County escalated into a tense standoff involving firearms, explosives, and multiple arrests.
On January 25, 2025, deputies responded to an alleged physical altercation between 47-year-old Michael Aaron Colalillo Sr. (pictured left) and a victim at a property in Sawyer County. What began as a disagreement over security cameras quickly turned violent, with allegations of assault, illegal firearms possession, and the creation of homemade explosives.
Law enforcement conducted an extensive investigation, leading to the arrests of Colalillo Sr. and 40-year-old Zachory Horan (pictured right). Both now face multiple criminal charges.
