SAWYER COUNTY -- The Sawyer County Sheriff's Office says the missing 3-year-old has been located. The Sheriff Mrotek told DrydenWire that he will be issuing more information via a press release on Tuesday.

Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office Seeking Public’s Help Locating Missing 3-Year-Old

SAWYER COUNTY -- Authorities in Sawyer County are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 3-year-old Winter, WI.

According to the Facebook group page ‘Light the Way Home With Prayers for the Missing', the girl, Abby, went missing from her home at 6:40p on Sunday evening. She is believed to be wearing a black shirt with white underwear and is barefoot.

The Facebook group page also posted and update from the mother:

"My daughter went missing around 6:40p.m from the house. Her dog peanut might be with her but not for sure. She's been gone for 14 1/2 hours and still not found peanut can be aggressive so please watch out for her. Abby is very shy and shuts down fast and won't say nothing if she is scared so please keep that in mind. She is wearing a black shirt with sunflowers on her shirt and white underwear with a design on her underwear. Peanut does not have her collar on but if she is found please call right away as abby might be around where peanut is at."

The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office is asking for residents in that area to check trail cameras and buildings on your property.

The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a missing child, Abigail Ladwig, age 3, who was last seen in the Winter, Wisconsin area.

Ladwig is a white female three-year-old with blonde hair and blue eyes. She stands about 2’10” and weighs about 41 lbs.

Ladwig was last seen following the family dog, a tan/brown cocker spaniel named Peanut, evening of August 9, 2020 at about 6:45pm. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with yellow flowers on it, and she was barefoot.

The public is asked to search their own property for Abigail and contact the tipline at 800-674-9228.

Many agencies have stepped up and are assisting in the search, including Sawyer County Search and Rescue, St. Louis County Search and Rescue, Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, US Border Patrol, Price County Sheriff's Office, Rusk County Sheriff's Office, Washburn County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin Emergency Management, Sawyer County Emergency Management, Washburn County Emergency Management, Canine Emergency Response Team (K-9), Canine SOS, Exeland Fire Department, Winter Fire Department, Round lake Fire Department, Canine Search Midwest, Central Lakes Search, Newbold Fire Rescue and Rescue and Chippewa Fire District.
