SPOONER -- Spooner Area Youth Hockey Association (SAYHA) is excited to debut their new hockey jerseys and their official sponsor – DrydenWire.
SAYHA starting working this past summer to secure donors to replace their nearly 10-year-old jerseys. After some of the monies were committed SAHYA ran a contest with local elementary schools so that Spooner Area kids could design the jerseys. When the SAYHA Board of Directors met they liked many of the designs, but in the end, they could not make only one choice. Therefore, one design was chosen for the home (red) jerseys and another design for the away (white) jerseys. Molly Arf designed the home (red) jersey and Nevaeh Colegrove designed the away (white) jerseys.
Molly and Nevaeh will be given a commemorative SAYHA hockey jersey as a thank you for their designs during the period break of the Muskies Hockey Game at the Spooner Civic Center on Friday, January 12th. This is a huge honor due to hockey players are only allowed to wear their jerseys during hockey games, not around town! Molly and Nevaeh will be sporting their jerseys around Spooner – congratulate them if you see them.

Also, during the Muskies home game on January 12th, SAYHA’s 4th Annual Gun Raffle drawing will take place. There are tickets remaining which will be sold the day of the game. Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $20.
